Dirt crit night again tonight saw another gathering of some odd looking critters in Westgate Park for the last race of the current series. A grade started with a nice friendly "Gentleman's Lap" which is always nice. A nasty stick in the single track ended the race for Giants Mr Maebus and left a group of three out front which included Matt L, Brett (fresh from roaming the world) and myself. A sandy rut got a good hold of my front wheel at the start of the second lap which let Matt get a gap on the rest of us which was made much harder to close by Bretts poor lack of direction. I managed to close the gap to Matt and then worked together to extend our lead. We had a couple of "moments" in the loose gravel sections of the course which included a heart stopping two wheel slide that nearly split me in two as I managed to get a steadying foot to the ground. It came down to a sprint finish where I came out with the win. YAY!

Fourth place in the series with Ash close behind in fifth who couldn't make it to the race because he's off building igloos for the next few weeks.

Off to Beechworth tomorrow for the SHITS where Felt Racing will be racing two male pairs teams, check back later for some pics and stories.
