The wrap up of Season 2006
As regular readers of this blog, you have probably established that the Felt Racing Enduro team will be taking a break for a couple of months, and calling this break an off-season. This past season/year has been amazingly success for the 4 riders that make up the team known as Felt Racing. Starting in November last year, we have campaigned at many enduros in Victoria and further afield, competing in the Victorian Enduro series, the Kona 24 hour, Gravity 12 hour, Subaru Interactive @ Docklands 12 hour and the Scott 24hour in Canberra. In all the races, Felt racing has never finished off the podium and completed every single race to its conclusion, surely an enviable record. Along the way, we have set fastest laps, day and night, we have lapped the entire field in a few races, and we have furthered the reputation of Felt Bicycles, Hutchinson Tyres and GVRaceTech immeasurably. Felt Racing has had a presence at every enduro in south east Australia for the past 12 months, something that no other brand can claim, and let alone the results that speak for themselves!
We shall be enjoying a break over the next few weeks at least, however bikes aren't completely off the menu! Jack shall be conducting a skills session in north west Victoria for his former club, as well as racing up there with his former club, Paul Van continues to dominate every race he attends and will surely be in awesome form for the National Champs and his home race @ Mt Beauty, Jase will continue to be a regular at local events over the break and I'm busily working on a new concept to add to the Felt Racing bag of tricks, but you'll have to wait and see about that one!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank some people who have helped us out all season, through the dust, mud, sleep deprivation, freezing nights and stinking hot days. Gerald from GVRaceTech has been the greatest all season, attending to our bikes has been a relatively small role for him. Photos, setup, tear down, logistics and sweating the details make him the go to man for everything. Indespensible doesn't begin to describe him, and we can only say thanks! Thanks to our partners for putting up with our training, racing and time away from them, as well as their tireless assistance at races keeping us fed, watered and organized, we love you guys! Our role is reduced to merely riding, with a team like them! Max @ Southcott for making this possible over the past few years, I hope we are doing it right! Thank you for your support, belief and confidence in us to get the job done. To all the people that stop by during the races for a chat and a laugh, thanks to you guys for making us smile! And thanks for stopping by over the past year to see what we have been up to. I hope that you will continue to keep reading and enjoying our adventures over the next season, and stay tuned for a new and exciting concept for you to read all about!
Till next time,
