Christmas Comes Early for Some

It’s new bikes all round at Felt Racing. All riders have now picked up the new Virtue Teams which we will be racing on this year.

The new 08 models feature a revised carbon rear end and some tricky machining of the aluminium parts to bring the weight down a bit. And new brakes and wheels round out the recently redesigned XTR group set. The other big change sees a set of Rock Shock Revelation 130mm forks strapped to the front end to look after things at that end of the bike.

New road bikes were also on the list this year. Scott will be rolling around on the new F3 and Paul and Jack will be seen getting around on F2's this year.

Both are great value full carbon road bikes. The F2 comes with a full shimano Dura Ace groupset and the new Mavic Ksyrium SL wheelset (almost identical to last years ES model) which is a perfect match for the red and black of the F2 frames.

My F2 got taken for its first spin last night for a lap of the Boulevard in Kew. For those who know this road it has some good climbs and not much flat, but it has never been on my list of nice smooth roads to ride on. The road surface it very course with plenty of bumps, or so I thought. Riding it on the Carbon frame and fork of the F2 make it feel like someone had been out and layed a smooth road just for me. I never thought a carbon frame could make such a difference, so I'm pretty happy and looking forward to some smoother training rides during the year.

From all at Felt Racing, have a safe and happy holiday season, it isn't called the silly season for no reason so take care when out on your bike and we'll see you all sometime in the new year.
