Summer Racing and other tall stories....

There will be some hard racing going on this weekend around the state with Felt Enduro Team Riders featuring prominently. Paul Van der Ploeg will be riding on his Felt F2C road bike at the National Cycling Championships in Ballarat, where he will contest the U/23 Men's Road Race early on Saturday morning. Paul showed some good form pre-Christmas with a 6th place in A-Grade at Sandown and has being carving up the high country over the break so it should be a strong showing from Paul. For more information on the Australian Championship's click HERE.
On the Sunday the focus shifts to the Cross Country scene in Bendigo, where Paul will be backing up from his 122.4km ride the previous day to race around in the Elite field. Joining him in Bendigo will be Scott Liston, who, as seen below showed good form at the Jayco Bay Crits. It should give the 2 a pretty accurate gauge as to how they are travelling for the upcoming Cross Country Australian Nationals later this month at Mt Stromlo.
For anyone who is wavering on whether they should compete in Bendigo or not, don't. It's a great course, well run and conducive to good racing. Everything you need for a leisurely Sunday morning smash session.
If racing isnt your speed, come down to Westgate Bridge Park and check out the Virtue's, Redemption's and some prototype Compulsion's. 10am til 2pm.....

'Racing' Notes:On a lighter note, spies have informed the Felt Blog that Team Manager Jarrod and Team Mechanic Gerald were spotted 'racing' the road crits on Tuesday night at Sandown. The end results for the 2 hairy legged, long finger glove wearing riders is as yet unknown, but there are scattered reports of Jarrod coiled on the ground in the fetal position after the race as well as rumours of Gerald staring blankly into the distance with a 5mm Allen key in hand.
