Well, it seems that the season is go well and truly with a fair bit of racing over the next few weeks.
The boys are ready and raring to go this weekend, with Scott taking delivery of his 09 race bike through the week, a super sweet Virtue team riddled with SRAM goodness. The bike was prepped by the one and only Gerald from GVRacetech, so there is no doubt that this bike, just like all the others, will be dialled!
The delivery is just in time for this weekends Chase the Sun Round two out at Lysterfield. Round two is taking place using Trailmix as a base for the race, a nice change from the Commonwealth games start / finish area.
This race sees Paul and Scott team up in the pro pairs category, while Neil is heading to the big smoke for a solid hit out in the Solo category - The entry was made with about a minute to spare before the plug was pulled due to a capacity field! Testament to the great work the Full Gas team deliver event in, event out. This will be Neils first Solo attempt, a nice 5 hour to warm the legs, and yet another 5 hours of riding that Jack isn't doing!
All the boys will be on the Virtues, so watch for them as the blur past you on the climbs and check the smiles as they descend oh so sweetly.
The weather report says that Sunday should be sunny with a top of 17, a perfect day for racing, the little bit of rain we have had this week will settle the dust nicely, so should be a super slick course.
Speaking of the course, it is a little shorter than round one, however there is only 30m difference in climbing from reports, so should be a fun day out.
Well, until then, keep it rubber side down.
