Sunshine rollin...

So this weekend saw a good weekend for Felt Racing. A quality ride yesterday for Jack and Ash up in the hills in the intermittant sunshine was a nice way to start the weekend, and a welcome change from the horror of thursday night!

Today was also dedicated to training for the ultra competitive 'race to the boat', or as its known for many residents of melbourne, Round the Bay in a day. Jack saddled up for a day on the bike heading down the coast to Portsea for the trip accross the bay, to his lift home. I'm sure it was a lonely ol' ride, but thats sometimes just the way it has to be. And at 3am at any race, the word lonely often springs to mind.

Paul will be back in Oz soon after his stellar effort against the best juniors in the world, and with Jase back on the bike, Felt Racing shall be a team to be reckoned with at the upcoming 12 hour at Werribee!

It was certainly a race to the boat! I thought it would be a good idea to ride up to the top of Arthurs Seat to have a look at the view and punish myself on a pretty decent hill. Back on the beach I had to push hard into a strengthening head wind which was fun! But I made it to the ferry with about 10 mins to spare. Not bad timing I thought after 120km.
