... and the rest of the story.
Jarrod seems to have covered the racing side of the week end in the previous post, which is funny because he didn't end up doing much racing.
The long week end in Mt Booty began with the city slickers rolling into town on Friday night. Saturday morning we were out enjoying the views as we had an easy road ride up to Falls Creek to get the legs ready for the racing to come the next day.
Only a small bunch, which was even smaller by the top.
While stopped at the cafe at the top we worked on our counting the Felt Racing way, F1, F2, F3, maybe Ash and I should have tried this in the FGP crits.
There is some impressive sights to be seen around this area if you take the time to look around.
After the mornings ride it was time to get ready to race. We meet up with local boy Paul for a trip to the supermarket trip to remember, I'm sure the local supermarket is still recovering from the whirlwind duo that is Paul and Smeagol, it was almost as good as those impressive sights mentioned above.
And to finish with, a few photos thanks to Grover from the race.
There was some very fast and fun sections of single track out there.
Introducing Felt Racing Team Manager Jarrod. It might be worth saving this photo, as you won't see him like this very often.
Scott showing the climbs who's boss.
I'm not sure if this is his blog first pic or not, but for those who don't know him this is Mark McDougall of Felt Racing 08.
Paul tearing up the flowing single track descent.
With Paul hot on my heels all day I was pushing hard on the descent too.
This needs to be stuck outside the Mt Beauty supermarket so he can't get in again.
And finally, this is Paul, counting his chickens before theay have hatched!
More photos to come as they come to hand.
