Gut Full. Get on it!

The 'Gut Full', not the most appealing or inspiring name for an endurance event but a very appropriate one. There will be times when you will wonder why you ever thought that competing was a good idea, there will be times where you wish you could hurl your bike into the bushes and just go home. There will also be times when you smash a climb and mentally pause just to take it all in and enjoy the exaltation and there will be times when you get the adrenalin pumping as you scream down a descent trying to make up time on some guy you only met at the start line. Its moments like these that make a endurance event a hugely rewarding experience. Overcoming doubt and the 'deep burn' in the legs, enjoying the challenge of pushing the mind past the brink. All really good stuff. Luckily for you, there is still time for you to register for this great event. Just go to the Big Hill Events website, choose the distance that you wish to compete in and whammy! You're in. The event is extremely well catered for and well run and promises to challenge riders of all levels. Look out for Scotty, Jack and other Felt riders going for the glory or you could watch some Felt staffer's fool themselves into thinking that they are tearing up the course when in fact they are holding up traffic. In any case get on with it and sign up. Challenge your mates. Challenge your work colleagues. Challenge yourself.

Otway/Great Ocean Road Classic
Thanks to the lone guy who yelled at the top of his lungs, "Go team Felt" as I rode by, shattered, on the weekend. You can't hide when you're broken in field of blue jersey's and you're wearing a bright red Felt outfit.
